Q and A - Genitals
"Why do we need genitals?" Well, that's a great question. What are some of the reasons people have genitals or private parts? Well, genitals are a way to remove waste from the human body. We all know that genitals can be used to urinate and defecate. Those are fancy words for pee and poo. That's one reason that people have genitals. Another reason that humans have genitals is to allow us to make more human beings. So, sometimes people decide that they are going to let their genitals get close to another person's genitals. If those people are a man and a woman, that could cause a pregnancy. Also, some people decide that they want their genitals to feel good. That's another purpose of genitals. They just feel good. So, that means that sometimes people spend time with their own genitals making them feel good. Sometimes people spend time with other people's genitals. That's something people do when they feel comfortable with their bodies and when they're old enough to make good decisions about what's okay for them. "Are girls' genitals more complicated than boys' genitals?" Well, actually they are about the same level of complexity. Genitals, when we're growing in the womb, the part of the body where babies can grow, also known as the uterus, we actually look almost the same for the first two months, boy babies and girl babies. So, we grow out of the same stuff. Our genitals are kind of like mirrors of each other. So they are both equally complex and equally simple.
