"If a person has a baby, does it hurt?" Well, giving birth can be a very painful experience, but also, for many women it is a very joyous experience. But labor does cause pain. "How do babies get into a mother's stomach?" Well, actually babies don't grow in their mother's stomach. They grow in the uterus. The uterus is located down between the hips. The stomach is where you put food into the body, it goes down into the stomach, which is up here. So, how do babies get into the uterus? There are a couple of different ways. One way is that a penis can go into a vagina and ejaculate. The sperm from that penis can go into the vagina and meet an egg. That could form a baby inside the uterus. That is one way that people start a pregnancy. Here is a related question, "is sex the only way to get a baby?" Well, is sex the only way to get a baby? No. Sex, in this question meaning a penis going into a vagina and ejaculating. That is one way to start a pregnancy, but its not the only way. Sometimes people go to a sperm bank to pick up some sperm that a man has left there. Kind of like a library for sperm. A guy can leave some sperm there and then a lady or a family can go there and pick up some sperm. And then a woman could take that home and put it inside of her and start a pregnancy that way. Another way that people can start a family is called adoption. Some people are adopted. That means that someone has a baby and then they give it to another family to raise it. That's called adoption. Another way a pregnancy can start is called in vitro fertilization. That's when you take an egg outside of a female body and a sperm outside of a male body and you mix them together in a dish in a lab and then you take that fertilized egg and put it back inside the female body. That is another way that a pregnancy can start without sex. So, is sex the only way to have a baby? No, but it is one of the more common ways that people have children. "Can you make a baby by just kissing or do you need to have sex?" Well, to have a baby, a sperm has to meet an egg. That is the only way a pregnancy can start. There are many ways that can happen, but you cannot start a pregnancy just by kissing. "Can you get pregnant during puberty?" Well, if a man is able to produce sperm, in other words, if they have noticed that semen comes out during a wet dream and during ejaculation when they are awake and a female has started her period, those people are capable of starting a pregnancy. But during puberty most people are not ready to start a family. So, even though our bodies are able to start a pregnancy and are practicing for later in life when we might decide we want to start a family, most people are not ready for that. But it is possible to start a pregnancy during puberty.
